Dr Ozan Amir

Dr Ozan Amir obtained his undergraduate podiatry degree from the Queensland University of Technology in 1994 and completed his Master of Podiatry at Curtin University in 2004. He has worked in private practice for over 18 years across Canberra and Sydney.

He undertook his surgical training with the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons, with additional clinical and surgical training in the United Kingdom and the United States. In the UK he completed a preceptorship in the Orthopaedic department of the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, Wiltshire, focusing on forefoot and diabetic high-risk foot surgery, and he completed three months of surgical training at the Podiatry Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, broadening his experience in rearfoot reconstructive surgery.

Ozan is a sessional lecturer in Podiatric Surgery at Western Sydney University's School of Podiatry and has been active in the NSW podiatry community through workshops, continuing-education lectures and conference presentations. He has a particular interest in bunion surgery and complex reconstruction of the forefoot, including severe hammertoe deformities, and is experienced in minimally invasive foot and ankle procedures. He is also an international member of the Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery.
