Dr Hussien Hamade graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2011 with a Bachelor of Podiatry with Distinction, having earlier completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Sydney in 2008. He began his career at a sports-biomechanics clinic specialising in lower-limb biomechanics and postural assessment.
Over the following years he worked across a range of Sydney clinics - from general podiatry to sports-medicine and diabetes high-risk clinics. He has a particular interest in human biomechanics and gait analysis, sports podiatry, diabetic foot care and ingrown toenail surgery, and has completed further training including Lower Limb Biomechanics Modules I & II, dry needling, foot mobilisation techniques and injection therapy including prolotherapy for the lower limb.
Hussien regularly attends conferences and workshops to stay current with evidence-based practice, and supervises podiatry and medical students. Outside the clinic he enjoys time outdoors with family and friends, and sports including rugby league, soccer and tennis.
